Oprah Winfrey has announced the Oprah Winfrey Show will come to an end next season.
She made the emotional announcement at the end of her show Friday, saying she wanted to get ahead of any speculation about why she's ending the show.
Winfrey told the audience that after 25 seasons, it's time to say goodbye.

CBS's LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN beat "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" in viewers, adults 25-54 and finished in a tie in adults 18-49 while THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON won its time period in viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Nov. 13.
LATE SHOW posted a 3.0/08 in households with an average of 4.13m viewers, up +15% in households (from 2.6/07) and +11% in viewers (from 3.73m) compared to the same week last year.

Sarah Palin's Wednesday appearance on Sean Hannity's show was his second highest-rated this year, according to Nielsen Media Research.
The Fox News host pulled in more than 4 million viewers, beating his top-rated colleague Bill O'Reilly ( ouch ) and everyone else on cable for one night.

ABC News "Nightline" was #1 among Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers for the week of November 9, 2009 outperforming NBC's "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" and CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman," according to Nielsen Media Research.
This is the second week in a row "Nightline" placed first among Total Viewers.
It also marks the twenty-first consecutive week "Nightline" beat "The Tonight Show" among Total Viewers.
